About the Founder
Meet the Mind Behind SOS Turbine Group
Hands-On Leadership. Field-Tested Experience. Built on Experience, Driven by Integrity.
Our Story
With over 25 years in the power generation industry, Jeromiha Spangler founded SOS Turbine Group on a foundation of trust, expertise, and a deep respect for the work. After involvement in more than 200 turbine and generator projects — including personally managing over 80 outages — he saw a recurring issue across the industry: too many jobs lacked true leadership and clear accountability.
Leadership isn’t about being the boss — that’s old-school thinking. Real leadership is about sharing knowledge and helping others build the mental tools they need to be part of a proactive, problem-solving team.

I don’t believe in hiding behind a laptop. If SOS is on the job, you’ll see me there — sleeves rolled up, solving problems and keeping things moving. My goal is simple: help our clients succeed by being the most reliable partner they’ve got.

A Personal Note

Outside of outage season, Jeromiha’s usually in the shop — fine-tuning gear, working on his next trailer rig-out, hot rod or building a custom ’thingamajigger’ that solves a problem no one else thought to fix. He’s hands-on by nature and values straight talk, hard work, and building things that last — whether it’s a turbine tool or a business relationship.
He also believes deeply in civic duty. In his downtime, Jeromiha answers the call as a volunteer firefighter in his local department. But he doesn’t just show up for the calls — he builds and maintains custom specialty equipment for the team. His creativity shines through in gear that started as mental sketches and turned into real, working solutions.
Growing up on a small farm, if you wanted something, you had to fix it or build it. We didn’t have the money to buy fancy tools or toys — and honestly, I’m thankful for that. It taught me how to take an idea and turn it into reality.

Leadership Forged in the Wild
Living in the rural countryside didn’t offer many traditional jobs or activities, but that’s what pushed Jeromiha to think creatively about how to spend his time and earn some coin. He’s always had a deep passion for animals — especially tigers — and that passion led him to a local rescue facility that specialized in saving large cats from the black market.
I gave up sports my last two years of high school to work at Animal Adventure. It was one of the most important learning experiences of my life. I learned how to control my fight-or-flight response, how to stand steady in the presence of something powerful. Those cats were always testing you — trying to see if they could make you flinch. I learned not to.
For clients, that means more than just another contractor on-site. It means having a partner who sees 10 steps ahead, builds solutions others overlook, and brings a lifetime of mechanical problem-solving and people leadership to every outage.
